A build kit is an argument about priorities. This one is short - because they nailed it. 

SRAM's X0 Eagle Transmission does away with the derailleur hanger altogether. The mech bolts through the rear axle and locates off the frame itself — which is why it shifts cleanly under full load rather than asking you to soft-pedal and hope, and why a hard strike usually ends with the derailleur still on the bike. 10–52t, 520% range, an overload clutch and replaceable armour on the knuckle and outer link. No limit screws. No B-gap. No ritual. Wireless, so there's no cable to go stiff and vague by February.

Which matters more here than it would elsewhere. The MT's switching link holds anti-squat high around sag — the bike actively wants you pedalling into terrain where you'd normally freewheel and brace. A drivetrain that shifts under that load isn't a luxury on this frame. It's the component that lets the suspension do the thing it was built to do.

The rest of the build follows the same logic: Fox, SRAM and DT Swiss -  chosen because they're what you'd fit anyway, and specified so you don't have to. (Yeti's equivalent LT build runs Fox Factory, Maven Silver brakes and DT Swiss carbon — expect the MT to sit in the same register.)

Nothing on it to upgrade. Nothing on it to apologise for.

We spec'd this one because it's the build we'd have assembled ourselves, minus the four weeks of parts arriving in the wrong order.

Hangerless Transmission earns its money in the Surrey Hills specifically: our trails are rooty, tight, and full of places to clip a mech on a rock you didn't see under the leaf litter. A derailleur that mounts through the axle survives things a hanger doesn't. And on a bike that asks you to keep pedalling through the rough — which the MT does, constantly — shifting under load stops being a spec-sheet line and becomes the reason you clear the climb.

Delivered fully insured on a signed & tracked DHL service or by the ROVIKA team ourselves - either to your nominated address or local ROVIKA Outpost.

Under £749 value:

Direct & insured shipping in 3 step ready-to-ride condition with DHL to your nominated address. Pre shipping assembly and inspection is performed by our team. All you need to do is rotate the bars, insert front wheel and fit one of the pedals - all required tools are provided.

Over £750 value:

Option A: ROVIKA home (or office!) delivery by our team with complimentary bike setup session (inc suspension tuning, seat height adjustment, cockpit adjustments, shoe cleat fitting & bike accessories fitting). We can also bring accessories for you to try and add to the order if you are undecided - stock level permitting.

Option B: Delivery to your local ROVIKA Outpost for assembly, set-up and customisation with your local mechanic. Each Outpost receives a percentage profit share for each order they build.

(For non-UK Mainland orders, please contact us prior to purchasing. We can arrange appropriate delivery methods but we do this on a case-by-case basis.)

The ROVIKA team has extensive experience with assisting employees, staff and business owners use UK Government approved Cycle to Work Schemes.
