Description

The dropper lever is one of the most overlooked components - often an afterthought. Just ride with the seatpost brand's supplied lever... right? We prefer to pair most seatposts with the ReMote Pro from Wolftooth.

On a long, switchbacked descent you'll ask more of it than your shifter — down, up, down again, mid-corner, one-handed, in the wet, with cold thumbs. And yet most bikes leave the factory with a plastic afterthought bolted under the bar. The ReMote Pro is what happens when someone treats that lever as a component in its own right.

Why we chose it

ROVIKA curates. That means we're less interested in what's new than in what's right — and the ReMote Pro is right for one specific reason: it moves to fit you, rather than asking your thumb to travel to it.

Forty-eight degrees of lever rotation, set independently of cable tension. Twelve millimetres of horizontal adjustment. Three mounting positions for height, and eight clamp options for whatever brakes you're running. That is an unusual amount of range, and the point of it is simple: the paddle ends up exactly where your thumb already rests. No reach. No stretch. Nothing to think about. Five hours into a ride, that stops being a detail and starts being the reason you're still riding well.

Then there's the feel of it. An oval cam gives you more leverage at the start of the stroke — precisely where a dropper asks for it — so the action is firm without being heavy. A large sealed cartridge bearing sits at the pivot, shielded from the grit and water that turn cheaper levers gritty by February. Everything you touch is metal: 6061 T6 aluminium, stainless hardware, a machined paddle face that holds a wet glove.

It's made in Minnesota, on Wolf Tooth's own machines. You can feel that in the first press.

The details

  • 48° of lever rotation — set independently, without touching cable tension
  • 12mm horizontal adjustment — fine-tune reach to the millimetre
  • Three vertical clamp positions, eight clamp options — it fits your cockpit, not the other way round
  • Oval cable-pulley cam — increased leverage where the stroke needs it most
  • Large sealed cartridge bearing — shielded from weather, smooth season after season
  • 6061 T6 aluminium, Delrin axle, stainless steel bolts — no plastic where it counts
  • Machined paddle face — grip in the wet, in gloves
  • Redesigned cable clamp — won't pinch or kink your cable; integrated barrel adjuster
  • Universal compatibility — works with all cable-actuated dropper posts
  • 39g (lever only)
  • Machined in Minnesota, USA

Fit: clamp options for Shimano I-Spec, SRAM MatchMaker, Magura, Hope and Hayes, plus 22.2mm round bars.
